“Fish migration in man-used streams : problems and solutions” seminar

Thanks to a new law on streams and rivers protection in Switzerland, much work will be undertaken in the coming decades to restore ecological continuity on rivers and restoring migration paths of fish species.

This two-days seminar, organized on October 30th and November 1st in Biel (Switzerland), will review the current state of knowledge on “Fish migration in man-used streams”.

Swiss experts, as well as their French, German, Austrian and American counterparts, will explore scientific and technical views on current substantive issues. On the third day, participants will be offered to visit two sites offering upstream and downstream passage as well as a rip-rap ramp.
